Formerly a post-primary teacher and married with two children, she lives in Monaleen. Became active in her local parent association in 1994 when her eldest child began attending school. Came together in May 1996 with four other parents to form the group, CALSAG (Castletroy Annacotty School Action Group) to lobby for a post-primary school in Casletroy. The campaign was successful and the school opened in September 2000.During and since then Trish has been active in education, child health (representing parents) and community projects such as the proposed neighbourhood park for Castletroy and a Park and Ride Scheme for city and county commuters.

Trish has a number of priorities as a candidate in the forthcoming election:
- To see national government plan and manage the challenges of energy needs and climate change
- To prepare and plan for Limerick to effectively handle changing employment and enterprise needs
- To see government adopt a targetted approach to investment in Education as identified in our 50 Steps to an Education System
- To establish nationally 24 hour Medical Primary Health Care Centres
- To tackle Crime through a multi-disciplinary,multi-agency approach
- To bring a vision to decision making

society and one which operates on principles of justice and peace.
- To see the Green's Model Sports School sited in Limerick as one of the proposed ten sites
- To see an Integrated Public Transport System in Limerick City and County with Park and Ride facilities along the commuter belts
- To put in place Rights-Based legislation for Disability
