The Green Party are thrilled to confirm that Co-Founder and Executive Director of ONE International has confirmed that he will speak at this year’s Convention.
Jamie is the driving force behind ONE International. ONE is a campaign and advocacy organisation with more than 2 million members committed to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Cofounded by Bono and other campaigners, ONE is nonpartisan and works closely with African policy makers and activists. The last conference that Jamie addressed was the World Economic Forum at Davos and he chaired a session of the G20 Summit in 2009.
Jamie will address Convention at 9.00pm on Friday night following the Environment and Social Justice Forum.
The Green Party are delighted to announce that Karen Chouhan will be the keynote speaker at Convention 2010. Chouhan is the UK Director of “Equanomics”, a community led alliance which seeks to develop more equal communities through innovative equality based economic policies. Selected from 1600 applicants by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, in May 2005, to be one of seven ‘visionaries' with ideas to change the world, Karen has over three decades of leadership in social movements to eradicate poverty and inspire economic justice.
