I chair Dublin City Council’s Transport Committee and am passionate about walkable, bikeable and livable cities. I served two terms in Dáil Éireann, and was a Minister of State with responsibility for Climate Change, Planning, and Sustainable Transport. During my time in government, I reformed the Irish planning system to focus on evidence-led decision-making, and published legislation to tackle climate change. I chair a Masters Programme in Urban Regeneration and Development at the Dublin Institute of Technology. I am currently undertaking an MSc in Cities at the London School of Economics and hold degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning from University College Dublin.
- Quality public housing is my number one priority. If elected I will work with my European colleagues to make sure Dublin provides well-designed housing for people of all ages and incomes.
- Dublin deserves a world-class transport system, starting with investment in walking, cycling and bus priority systems.
- Our children should have the best start in life. I want to ensure that young people, regardless of their background, have access to good food, education, healthcare and training. Postcodes shouldn’t determine your future.
- Climate change requires action in Brussels and at home. I'll work hard to create well-paid jobs in renewable energy and upgrading homes.
