Green Party spokespeople for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht announced

This week the Green Party have announced spokespeople for the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Cllr Peter Kavanagh is the Green Party spokesperson for the Gaeltacht.

He is a councillor for Clondalkin on South Dublin County Council. Peter is a language-rights activist, journalist and broadcaster. He is the co-founder of the Pop Up Gaeltacht and a former translator and educator.

Cllr Claire Byrne is the Green Party spokesperson for Arts & Culture.

She has been councillor for the South East Inner City on Dublin City Council since 2014. Claire has 15 years experience in politics and works as an environmental education specialist and sustainability consultant for the events industry, including the Body&Soul festival.

Cllr Louise Heavin in the Green Party spokesperson for Heritage.

She is a councillor for Athlone on Westmeath County Council. She is an architect and has worked on projects in the housing and education sector. She is chair of the Westmeath Heritage Forum and is a strong advocate for the protection of our natural and built heritage.
