The Green Party / An Comhaontas Glas today called on the Government to recognise the Psychiatric Nurses Association’s right to represent their members in discussions with the HSE.
Spokesperson for Health, Dr Séamus McMenamin said:
“Together with their failure to recognise the National Association of General Practitioners, the Government are showing a disturbing lack of engagement with important stakeholders in the health service, as we have seen with the overruns in the National Children’s Hospital. Strategic planning is vital for patients, Government and taxpayers”
“The recent protests by nurses, doctors and ambulance workers shows how frayed relations have become and Minister Harris must prioritise grown-up government where parties engage with each other for the good of all.”
