As your representative for Belmullet, I will bring a green perspective to decision making at local level.
Rural Regeneration - I will campaign for increased incentives for small farmers in disadvantaged areas who produce food.
Home Energy - I will campaign for more investment in retrofitting homes, especially for the less well off.
Solar Power - I will campaign for better incentives for home owners to invest in solar power. Clean cheap energy for all.
Experience
I was raised on a small farm in Erris. In my mid twenties I was managing director of an insurance brokerage in Dublin – Capital Growth Consultants (Dublin) LTD. When I moved back to Mayo, I owned and managed The Boxty Factory in Belmullet – Táirgí Bia Iorrais Teoranta. However most people in Erris will know me for the last few years from the local filling station.
I have a B.A . Degree in Art and Design from GMIT, I am the Treasurer of Geesala Boxing Club and an IABA registered coach.
