Full time, fixed term

The Green Party is currently seeking to recruit a Communications and Press Officer to join our communications team at headquarters. Working closely with the party’s Communications Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the party’s media and PR activities, oversee the website content management and support the development of social media content, ensuring effective communication with party representatives, media and the public.

Location: Hybrid - work from home and the Green Party Head Office at 16/17 Suffolk St, Dublin 2.

Oireachtas Social Policy Researcher – Maternity Leave cover contract

Period of employment: 3rd October 2022 – 14th April 2023 (28 weeks)

The Green Party is hiring a researcher to assist the Parliamentary Party in the conduct of their legislative and policy work in both the Dáil and Seanad, to cover a period of maternity leave. Working as part of a tight knit team, this role will provide research support for the Green Party’s Oireachtas operations, including, but not limited to, speaking notes, committee work, private members’ legislation and other parliamentary activities. 

Contract: Successful candidates will be employed on Fixed Term/Specified Purpose contract with the Houses of the Oireachtas, at the grade of Administrative Assistant. Remuneration is on a scale with annual increments, beginning at €34,446.11 for a 40-hour week. Work outside of normal office hours will occasionally be required.

Location: Leinster House, Kildare St, Dublin 2.

Internships

Green Party HQ is committed to providing a range of opportunities for paid student work experience and internships. Green Party internships are designed to widen participation in politics as one of our core Party objectives. The Party is committed to positive action and creating opportunities for students who may not have had the opportunity to engage in the political process previously due to any number of systemic barriers. Students will be selected through purposeful partnerships with third level institutions and organisations committed to positive action and access.

Policy

Green Party HQ supports the European Quality Charter on Internships and Apprenticeships. A stipend will be provided at the end of all successful internships in recognition of the work contribution made by participants. Vouched travel, subsistence, and/or work-related expenses such as mobile phone and/or broadband top-ups will be reimbursed.
