My vision for Bray West is for a fair, just and equal place to live, work and play in, with clean air and water and decent and affordable housing for all.

As your representative for Bray West, I will focus on providing housing for low income households and support any measures needed to provide our children with clean air and water and their ability to travel safely to and from school.

My priorities

HOUSING - Providing housing for low income households. This means bringing vacant and derelict buildings (both residential and commercial) back into use, ensuring availability of affordable local authority home loans, the vacant property refurbishment grant, persuading landlords to avail of the repair and lease scheme, and where necessary encouraging the local authority to use their CPO powers.

ENVIRONMENT - Supporting any measures needed to get our children safely to school, whether that be segregated bicycle lanes or affordable, frequent and dependable public transport.

Experience

Alex has lived in Bray West for 35 years.  He has run his own business for 40 years. He and his wife Tina Roche are working on building a small organic farm near Glencree. He was on the board of Curtlestown N.S., chaired Enniskerry Schoolboys and Schoolgirls FC and chair of the Social Responsibility Committee of the St Gerards PA.  He (along with Tina) was a founding member of Enniskerry SEC, Glencree River Valley Native Woodland Association, and Save Enniskerry and Protect Knocksink. He ‘sings’ 😊in Curtlestown Church Choir.
