If not now, when? If not us, who?

I stand for inclusiveness, equality and diversity. I stand for a society that values everyone, regardless of their background, and where the wellbeing of a community is not just measured through economics. I stand for a sustainable society where environmental impact is placed at the heart of policy decisions.

My priorities

A Strong Green Voice for Gorey
The Gorey area deserves political representation that reflects the ongoing challenges we face with biodiversity loss and climate change. I will champion progressive, inclusive initiatives that ensure that the natural world that supports us is protected. We need clean water, clean air, healthy soils, and healthy ecosystems, to survive and thrive. We have a duty to pass on to future generations liveable, healthy, biodiverse environments.

Inclusion
Providing the necessary supports for all to ensure that new immigrants are welcomed into the heart of our communities We need to facilitate clear, open, honest dialogue that breaks down barriers and builds trust and not sow the seeds of division. Promoting infrastructure that is inclusive of people of all abilities, from transport to accessible footpaths. People’s lives should not be restricted due to poor infrastructure.Facilitating active travel with safe walk and cycleways to promote healthier lifestyles.

Housing
Tackling dereliction and vacancy, both in urban and rural areas, to ensure properties are properly utilised, adding vibrancy to the life of our communities.

Experience

I have lived in Castletown, North Wexford, in a vibrant GAA and farming community for the past 27 years, and am originally from New Ross. At present I am a doctoral researcher in the Department of Psychology in Maynooth and hold an MSc in Forensic Psychology and Criminology. I am also a carer, a therapist, and someone who cares passionately about healthy environments, natural, societal, and psychological. I strongly believe everyone should have the opportunity to vote Green. I have been involved in politics since 2007, both behind the scenes and as a General Election candidate in 2016.
